Terms of Use

Last updated July 23, 2026

Numb is a cleaning aid, not a security control. It cannot disable every hardware or system-reserved control on a Mac.

Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Numb (the “App”), provided by 100k31d LLC (“100k31d”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

License

Subject to these Terms and the applicable Mac App Store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control.

The Apple Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a custom agreement is presented through the Mac App Store. These Terms supplement that agreement.

Accessibility permission

Numb requires macOS Accessibility permission to temporarily suppress selected keyboard and pointer events. You are responsible for granting, reviewing, and revoking that permission through System Settings. The App cannot perform its core function without it.

Safe use and limitations

Use appropriate cleaning materials and follow the instructions of your Mac or accessory manufacturer. Numb does not make hardware waterproof and does not protect against liquid, chemical, pressure, electrical, or physical damage.

macOS, connected accessories, secure input, hardware keys, Touch ID, the power button, and system-reserved controls may behave outside the App’s event filter. Confirm that the selected input is paused before cleaning, and do not treat Numb as an access-control or security product.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, redistribute or resell it without permission, or use it in violation of applicable law. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Updates and availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature. Some updates may be required for compatibility with future versions of macOS.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 100k31d will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, profits, or business arising from the App. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

Termination

These Terms remain effective until terminated. Your right to use the App ends if you materially breach them. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

Governing terms

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to 100k31d LLC’s place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. The current version and its effective date will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
