Privacy Policy

Last updated August 27, 2026

Numb works locally on your Mac. It has no account, analytics, advertising, or network service, and it does not collect your input.

Who we are

Numb (the “App”) is provided by 100k31d LLC (“100k31d”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

Accessibility permission

Numb asks for macOS Accessibility permission so it can temporarily intercept and suppress the keyboard and pointer events you choose during an input-pausing session. This permission is used only to provide the App’s core function, whether a pause starts immediately or after a countdown.

Numb does not record what you type, build an input history, inspect the content of other apps, or transmit keyboard, mouse, or trackpad activity anywhere.

Information stored on your Mac

The App stores a small set of preferences locally, including:

  • your selected start delay;
  • your selected auto-unlock duration;
  • whether keyboard and trackpad pausing are selected;
  • the date of your last successful input pause; and
  • standard window and application preferences managed by macOS.

These settings remain on your device until you reset the App, remove its data, or uninstall it.

Data collection and sharing

Numb does not send us personal information or usage data. The App contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party data-collection SDKs. We do not sell personal information.

Support communications

If you contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. Numb never sends a support message automatically. We use this information only to respond and retain it only as needed for support and ordinary business records.

Your choices

You can revoke Numb’s Accessibility permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Without that permission, Numb cannot pause input. You can remove locally stored preferences by deleting the App’s data or uninstalling it.

Children

Numb is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
