FAQ
Straight answers, without a support maze.
How do I add a replacement?
Open Rewords from the Chrome toolbar, type what to replace and what to show instead, then press Add. Turn on Whole words only if you want “John” to skip “Johnson.”
Why didn’t my page update?
Rewords applies replacements as a page loads. If you added a pair while the page was already open, reload the tab.
What happens after three pairs?
The free tier holds three active pairs. Adding a fourth opens the Gumroad checkout for a lifetime license instead of adding it.
What does the lifetime license unlock?
Unlimited replacement pairs, for a one-time $4.99 payment through Gumroad. Whole-word matching and everything else stays identical on both tiers.
How do I activate a license I already bought?
Paste the key from your Gumroad receipt into the License Key field in the popup and press Validate Key. A valid key removes the three-pair limit immediately.
Does Rewords work in other browsers?
Rewords ships for Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers through the Chrome Web Store only.
What does Rewords send anywhere?
Nothing about the pages you visit — replacement pairs stay in Chrome’s own sync storage. Only a license key you explicitly enter is sent to Rewords’ Cloudflare Worker and Gumroad for verification.
How do I remove a pair, or start over?
Click the × next to a pair to remove it, or Delete all to clear everything. Both ask for confirmation first.
How should I report a problem?
Email go@100k31d.co with your Chrome version and what you expected to happen. Don’t send a complete license key.
