Orb for Codex processes Codex usage snapshots locally on your Mac. It does not collect analytics, show ads, or send your usage data to us.
Who we are
Orb for Codex (the “App”) is provided by 100k31d LLC (“100k31d”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
Information the App processes
With your permission, the App reads technical
token_count.rate_limits snapshots from the Codex data
folder on your Mac. These snapshots may include remaining usage
percentages, reset times, timestamps, plan information, and usage
window metadata.
The App does not decode or collect your prompts, responses, tool output, files, credentials, or authentication tokens.
Local storage
The App stores preferences on your Mac, such as appearance, window position, and behavior settings. It also stores a macOS security-scoped bookmark so it can remember the Codex folder you selected and retain read-only access across launches and updates.
This information remains on your device until you reset the App, remove its data, or uninstall it.
Data collection and sharing
We do not receive your Codex usage data. The App contains no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not sell or share personal information.
Apple may process download, purchase, diagnostic, or App Store data under its own privacy policy. That processing is controlled by Apple, not by the App.
Your choices
You choose whether to grant access to your Codex folder. You can revoke that access by resetting the App’s permissions or removing the App. Without folder access, the App cannot display current Codex usage.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The current version and its effective date will always be available on this page.
